The Community for Australian and New Zealand Racing (CANZ Racing) is the rebirth of the Regional Gamers League Online Racing Community (RGL ORC). The RGL ORC hosted various championships on Forza Motorsport from 2011 to 2015 across Forza Motorsport 3, Forza Motorsport 4 and Forza Motorsport 5 including a highly successful V8 Supercars Championship Series that even included full race replays on YouTube!
CANZ Racing has attempted to follow on with RGL’s success of providing an open and welcoming racing community with healthy competition and a first taste for online racing. Many past members of RGL and a few present members of CANZ have moved on to higher competition simulators such as iRacing or Assetto Corsa to chase more realistic simulation and balanced lobbies (for tighter races and even more action than even we could offer!). Though we certainly don’t lay any claim to their success after moving on we certainly do enjoy seeing them do well and supporting them beyond their time with us. So don’t forget to keep in touch and let us know what you’re up to so we can follow your career!
The CANZ Racing is run under the guise of professional fun. We consider our community to be in the range of amateur to intermediate racers with a few higher level drivers to provide advice or guidance to new or struggling drivers. With that in mind the administration has developed the Sporting Regulations for CANZ to give the racing a fairness where it is needed and to prevent troublemakers and deliberate rammers from ruining the racing or the experience for our members. These measures are not foolproof but go a long way to providing a clean and professional race unlike most of those found in public lobbies.
