The 2016 V8 Supercars Championship went right down to the wire at the Long Beach circuit, with a new champion crowned as a retiring veteran bowed out. Round six saw the first ever CANZ V8 Supercar race at Monza. This would see some interesting strategies and some extreme setups. Heat causes tyre wear issues at Dubai

Drivers were dealt a cruel blow as the Mercury reached 43 degrees at the Dubai Autodrome for the third round of the Sportscar Championship Series.
