Finals Week One – Knights Through to Grand Final, Devils to play Raiders

It was a close but ultimately expected first week of finals as elimination finals and the top of the table qualifier took place. The format change from a single ten minute match to two five minute matches with the option of a third in the event of a tie was aimed to bring results closer together. Pitching for quick fire halves and potentially less goals scored. The first game was the preliminary game between Knights of Utopia and Midnight Raiders. With the winner to proceed directly to the grand final…

This week the teams took to the field for rounds 8 to 10 of Season I of the Soccar Championships. After the withdrawal of Utopia Magic, the teams would be playing without byes for the rest of the season. Knights of Utopia’s unchallengable performance continues to be a talking point as they stretch their advantage at the top of the table. The fight for best of the rest continues as the Wasteland Devils lead the Midnight Raiders on a 1 goal differential alone, while Second Degree Sharks will likely have…

Round six saw the first ever CANZ V8 Supercar race at Monza. This would see some interesting strategies and some extreme setups. Qualifying saw the usual suspects at the front with Caderz, Drifter and Scav3nger taking out the top three positions. The Rolling Rods Racing Nissans took out the next three spots, a good showing from the Rolling Rods crew who had previously admitted they would be unlikely to match the pace of the three front runners. All three drivers put in very similar competitive times. Zoolu, Woebe, Clasified Hunter…

Scav3nger’s Thoughts: E32016

I was hesitant to post this for the fear it would become one of those old “Scav3nger’s Rants” posts where I just complain about things that I don’t like, but let’s see what happens. When it comes to this time of the year, every year, I’m often found questioning what crazy announcements will be made in attempt to be determined as having “won E3” any particular year. When ultimately it seems the winner is often the one who does the least shit. In most recent times it was probably when…
